Family Counselling Services
Why Try Family Counselling?
Anyone who has been a part of a family knows that it can be one of the most rewarding experiences in life… and also the most stressful! Sometimes issues that come up in families are too much to handle alone. Counselling offers a safe, confidential space for you to sort out problems that you and your family can’t handle by yourself. By taking the time to learn how and why issues are emerging, and how to communicate about them, you can find peace and unity that lasts. Family counselling helps members of your unit understand and communicate with each other more effectively.
Family Counselling Concerns
Family counselling is unique because often an concern that one individual is struggling with affects the entire family unit. Our therapists have experience in a number of different areas of counselling. Two of our therapists in particular, Vern and Calista Ward, have experience helping a number of family related concerns. This is not just book knowledge – with 7 kids (5 biological, 2 adopted) they’ve seen it all! Because each of our therapists have different areas of specialty, together they can offer experience and expertise in a number of different family counselling issues, including:
Communication – Sexual Issues – Parenting Concerns – Depression – Grief – Anxiety – Anger Management – Disordered Eating & Body Image – Addiction Dependency (drug or alcohol) – Addictive Behaviours (sex, food, pornography) – Abuse – Self-Esteem – LGBTQ2+ – Social Skills – Stress – Separation / Divorce – ADHD – Men’s Issues
